5+ years of continuous residence in Korea on E-7 or other qualifying status, Korean language competency (KIIP Level 5 completion), and income at or above 2x per capita GNI (~₩99,910,000/year based on most recently published Bank of Korea figure). Clean criminal record and tax compliance required.

Direct path to permanent residence for long-term E-7 holders. Published guidelines (F-5-1) require 5 years of qualifying residence, KIIP Level 5, and income of 2x per capita GNI. The E-7 → F-2 → F-5 route is also commonly used and allows F-5 application after 3 years on F-2.
